Arrival with intercontinental flight into Rome airport. Transfer to hotel in Ancona.

Following breakfast, depart to the wonderful Riviera del Conero, a cliff overlooking the sea which creates an incredible natural landscape. Visit the small villages of Portonovo and Sirolo and then arrive in Recanati famous for the great Italian writer and poet Giacomo Leopardi. Here you can visit, with your local guide, the Leopardi House, Borgo, the Theatre Persians. Dinner and overnight in Ancona.

Following breakfast depart to Pescara in Abruzzo region. On the road, enjoy a guided visit of Macerata, beginning at Sferisterio, theatrical structure unique in its architectural genre, then continuing with Cathedral of San Giuliano, the Basilica of Mercy and Freedom Square. Dinner and Overnight in Pescara.

After breakfast, enjoy an excursion through the villages of the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga. Stop at Castel del Monte to visit the fortified village located on the southern slope of the Gran Sasso. Continue to S. Stefano di Sessanio, ancient rule of the Medici, and considered among the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy. Stop for a short visit to the medieval village, the crenellated tower and the parish church of St. Stephen. Optional visit to the National Museum of Antiquities which houses the most important archaeological collection of Abruzzo. Guided tour of the old town and especially the elegant Corso Marruccino, the Cathedral of St. Justin and the Baths and Roman Temples. Dinner and Overnight in Pescara.

After breakfast at hotel, start with your local guide an excursion to Sulmona, a wonderful town with ancient origins and birthplace of Ovid, the father of the Latin language. Walk through the historic center where you can admire the Basilica of S. Panfilo or the complex of SS. Annunziata. Dinner and Overnight in Pescara. |
After breakfast, depart to Isernia in Molise region. Check in at your hotel and in the afternoon discover to the main monuments of the city and transfer to the "Pineta" to visit the "Village" and the Paleolithic "Homo Aeserniensis" museum that preserves the remains of the prehistoric village of the first European men. Dinner and overnight in Isernia. |

DAY 7 - VENAFRO and CAMPOBASSO |

Following breakfast, arrive in Venafro, ancient Venafrum Sannitica whose foundation is attributed to Diomedes. Visit to the main monuments of the historic center and the Archaeological Museum. In the afternoon move to Campobasso, visit to the picturesque old town dominated by the Castello Monforte with its narrow streets, its thirteenth-century churches and the interesting Sannitico Museum which houses artifacts belonging to this illustrious people. Dinner And Overnight in Isernia.
