Your journey begins heading south along the so-called Sun Highway, crossing the fertile Roman countryside and the area known as Castelli Romani, dotted with enchanting medieval villages and arriving in Naples, one of the largest and well-known cities in Italy. Short panoramic tour climbing up to Vomero hill to enjoy beautiful views over the Gulf of Naples with the Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia and Procida and the city below; time to take some nice pictures. Descending towards the port of Mergellina you will leave the city and travel south toward Mount Vesuvius, to reach the town of Ercolano where we will stop for lunch. The lunch break will be served in a first class hotel in Ercolano, set in monumental grounds with one of the best examples of what eclectic gardens were during the 1700s. After lunch you will reach Pompeii to enter into the world-famous site with skip the line tickets. Visit the haunting ruins of Pompeii, traveling back in time to the tragic days in 79 AD when the silent Mount Vesuvius suddenly erupted, covering the prosperous Roman city in deadly volcanic ashes and poisonous gases, leaving this prosperous city crystallized until our days. You’ll learn how people lived at that time, visiting houses and “bars” of the time, admiring frescoes and mosaics to imagine how rich and prosperous was the city before the dreadful day. After the visit, you will drive along the Sorrentine Coast, arriving in Sorrento for dinner (dress code: jacket for men) and an overnight in your new hotel. DAY 2 SORRENTO Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, free time at your disposal for shopping or activities. If you want, you may opt for a visit to the island of Capri or take an Amalfi Coast excursion (not included). Dinner and overnight in hotel. DAY 3 SORRENTO > ROME Breakfast at the hotel and free time. Departure back to Rome in the afternoon. |

Llegada a Nápoles y breve visita panorámica subiendo por la colina Vomero para disfrutar de las hermosas vistas del Golfo de Nápoles, con el Vesubio, Capri, Ischia y Procida y la ciudad a sus pies; tiempo para hacer algunas fotografías y luego regresar a Mergellina. Continuación con el bus hacia el restaurante para almorzar. El almuerzo será servido en un hotel de primera clase en Ercolano, situado en un terreno monumental con uno de los mejores ejemplos de lo que eran jardines durante el 1700. Después del almuerzo llegada a Pompeya para visitar este sitio de fama mundial. Visita a las inquietantes ruinas de Pompeya, viaje en el tiempo a los trágicos días del año 79, cuando el Monte Vesubio entró en erupción repentinamente, cubriendo la próspera ciudad romana de cenizas vulcánicas mortales y gases venenosos, dejando esta ciudad próspera cristalizada hasta nuestros días. Durante la visita vas a aprender cómo se vivía en ese momento, visitando las casas de la época con sus frescos y mosaicos. Continuaremos recorriendo la Costa Sorrentina hasta llegar a Sorrento, donde cenaremos (es recommendable indumentaria formal) y nos alojaremos. DÍA 2 SORRENTO Desayuno en hotel y tiempo libre para descubrir las magníficas bellezas de esta estupenda localidad costera. Oportunidad de efectuar una excursión opcional a Capri o reservar un coche para recorrer la Costa de Amalfi. Cena y alojamiento en el hotel. DÍA 3 SORRENTO > ROMA Desayuno en hotel y tiempo libre. Por la tarde, regreso a Roma. |
